Windy City Opera presents Donizetti's jovial classic, Don Pasquale, Donizetti's jubilant masterpiece. When Don Pasquale's nephew defies his instructions to marry a woman he doesn't love, the elderly bachelor disinherits him and decides to acquire a wife - and some new heirs - of his own. But his high-handedness breeds conspiracy, and he finds that he still has a lot to learn about both money and matrimony!
Windy City Opera's semi-staged production will bring to life both ardent lyricism and the punchy patter of Donizetti's dazzling score. Our vocalists, accompanied by a small ensemble, will sing in the original Italian and English supertitles will be provided.
